The production facilities include all aspects relating to precision manufacture and are flexible enough to manage unique prototypes or high volume production from procurement to finished product. Our factory is considered to be a leader in the Western Cape and is fully equipped with a machine shop, press shop, plating facility and toolroom, which undertakes the manufacture of all in-house tooling and gauging. Specialised features include small gear cutting, pivot polishing and metal finishing. A facility for the design and manufacture of special purpose machines exists for in-house production.

Laingsdale operates a Quality Assurance system that meets all of our customers’ requirements and is in line with current local and international standards. As a SABS listed company we have entrenched procedures that ensure the quality of our product through all stages of the manufacturing process. Dedicated and experienced quality engineers follow strict procedures in order for us to give our customers the assurance that quality is built into every level of manufacture. Traceability is maintained from raw material purchase to packaging and despatch of the finished product. In-house calibration of all measuring equipment and gauges is carried out in our temperature controlled standards room with primary standards traceable to national standards. At Laingsdale we work hard to ensure that our quality control processes meet or exceed the requirements of SABS ISO 9001:2000 to which we are certified.
